#15 Plant- Frerard- One Shot

Gerard- 10 years old
Frank- 7 years old

Gerard has been my friend for as long as I remember. He's been my only friend. He means the whole world to me. Because he's a few years older then me, he has other friends that are in his grade that I don't think like me all that much. I've hung out with them once when Gerard invited me and I was never invited to hang out with them again.

Sometimes I wonder if Gerard even likes me sometimes. During school, I'll try to talk to him during school but he'll just blow me off and continue doing whatever he's doing. But I understand why he wouldn't wanna be seen with me. I'm the weirdo kid with no friends and likes to read comics. I'm kinda a loser.

At school when I got a chance to talk to Gerard; I asked him if he could go to the field across the street from my house so I could talk to him. He agreed and cantered away from me. I sat in the field waiting for Gerard to come after school. I smiled as I saw his black hair come into view. I got to my feet as he strode closer to me.

"Hey Frankie." Gerard smiled calling me the young child pet name.

I smiled back. "Hi. Um, do you still like me?" I asked keeping my eyes glued to the grassy floor beneath my feet.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

I shrugged my shoulders still looking down. "I dunno, you're always with your friends now-a-days and I just thought you didn't like me anymore."

Gerard chuckled and ruffled my hair. "Frankie, no matter what you're always gonna be my best friend. Stop your worrying silly."

I smiled a little and nodded. "Okay." I looked to my left and saw a dead dandelion. I picked it; handing it to Gerard. He smiled taking the flower and handing me a flower just like it. Gerard counted to three and we blew out the dead petals.

I smiled as we watched them fly away into the beautiful Jersey day. "Frankie, what did you wish for?"

I shook my head smiling. "It won't come true if I tell you."

Gerard rolled his eyes. "I bet if I tole you my wish it would come true."

"Do it!" I dared smiling a lot at Gerard.

Gerard giggled and kisses me, pulling away quickly. I smiled and blushed a little. "Told you it would come true."
